1. Why Sky Moon Diamonds offer lower prices than others in the industry?

Because we perform most of our activity online and because of our long-term relationships with diamond manufacturers.

3. Do you have also retail stores?

Sky Moon Diamonds doesn't have any retail stores yet but we are working on this and update you as soon.

4. What are your working hours?

1. What are the "4Cs"?

Created by GIA and recognized today globally, the "4Cs" is the accepted standard for grading the diamonds. The "4Cs" are the: Carat, Cut, Color and Clarity.

2. What is the "fluorescence" in a diamond?

The fluorescence is the blue light (in very rare case the color - yellow too) some diamonds emit under ultraviolet rays.

For example, if you have a diamond with "Fluorescence - Very Strong" write on his certificate and you expose it to UV rays, this diamond will emit a visible light that is called fluorescence.

3. Is fluorescence an issue in a diamond?

We consider the fluorescence as a "customer friend". Why?

First, because the blue color is complementary of the yellow.

This means that in tinted and near colorless diamonds the fluorescence, in most of the cases, is positive for the appearance. These diamonds appear to be higher on the color scale when seeing it with the naked eye.

Second because in colorless diamonds, the strong fluorescence in most of the cases, trade with some discount price.

But we want to add that according to GIA, "a diamond that fluoresces has the same integrity as one with no reaction to UV. Submicroscopic substitutions and/or shifts in the diamond structure can cause fluorescence or can prevent it. Nothing in either instance inherently weakens or is bad for the diamond. (GIA, n.d.). 4. What do you mean with the "eye-clean" term?

The eye-clean term is a term used for diamonds with no imperfection visible to the unaided eye.

PAYMENTS FAQS

1. What credit cards do you accept?

We accept the following credit cards through Paypal: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diner'.

The customer doesn't need to have an account with PayPal in order to make the payment with any of the above credit cards.

Just add directly the card's details after you choose the PayPal option at the checkout and the payment will be taken.

We choose this option for the customer's protection because Paypal uses advanced SSL encryption to keep your transactions secure.

2. Do you accept other payment methods?

Yes, we do. We accept Bank/Wire Transfers.

Just choose this method at the checkout and we will send you, same day, the details for the payment.

Once the payment is received, we will send you an email confirmation and start processing your order.

3. Do I receive any discount if I choose to pay by Wire Transfer?

Yes. You will receive a 2% discount. The proforma invoice with the final price will be sent to you together with the Bank details for the payment.

4. Do you have also a payment plan?

Yes, we do.

Sky Moon Diamonds is offering a layaway payment plan with a 30% down payment and the remaining balance to be paid within six (6) months.

The product will be shipped once the payment is made in full.

For details of this payment plan, please call us and we will be happy to assist you.

5. What benefits do I receive if I choose the layaway plan?

a) You will reserve the diamonds you wish today for only 30% of the value and you have time six (6) months to pay the diamond balance in full.

b) You will pay the diamond at the price you blocked today and avoid any increase in price.

c) You will pay NO interest charges during this period because this is not a loan program.

d) You can choose to pay earlier than six (6) months the balance in full and once confirmed we will start to process your order and send you the details.

6. What happens if I can't pay the balance in full by end of 6th month?

We will always analyze and discuss this option at the beginning with every client in order to avoid the unexpected situations that may occur.

7. Do you accept payments in other currencies than pounds sterling?

Yes, we do. We accept payments in EURO an USD too.

UK VAT FAQS

1. Do you charge UK VAT to all orders?

We charge 20% UK VAT to all UK and EU customers. Exceptions are made for EU customers that have a valid UE VAT registration number that can be verified.

For shipping outside EU you will not be charged any VAT, but remember you may be subject to local import duties and taxes when the package enters your country.

SHIPMENT FAQS

1. Can I know the shipping costs?

Yes, you can. There is NO shipping costs.

Sky Moon Diamonds offer FREE delivery worldwide.

2. Is the delivery package insured?

Yes, it is! Fully insured against loss or theft and a customer sign is requested at the delivery.

Please remember to NOT sign or accept any package that appears damaged or tampered and contact us immediately.

We will take care directly with the courier and keep you updated.

3. What courier do you use for delivery?

We use one of the following couriers FedEx, TNT or Royal Mail.

4. How long does it take for Sky Moon Diamonds to process my order?

Usually, the order is processed within 10 business days after the payment is received, but we always make our best to make it faster and keep you updated.

5. How can I be sure that the diamond I receive is the same diamond described in the certificate?

Most of the diamonds we sell are "LASER INSCRIBE" on the girdle. This means that the certificate number is inscribed on the diamond girdle and any jeweler with a high magnification loupe can help you see it.

Anyway, if you have this doubt, we encourage you to go with the diamond at any professional Jeweler/ Gemologist and he can confirm you the same.

6. Can I ship to a different address other than my billing address?

Usually, the answer is yes, but in some cases, in order to protect our customers and comply with the Banks and the Payment Providers requests, we reserve the right to ask for additional information from the client.

7. Do I need an appointment if I want to collect my diamond directly in your office?

Yes, you need to contact us after you make the purchase and we will book for you an appointment.
